Disclaimer
Security Briefing publishes information about cybersecurity, technology and related practical topics. Our articles and tools support learning and informed decisions.
Use information in context
Threats, products, software interfaces and guidance can change. Check the publication date and follow the linked original sources before acting on a time-sensitive claim. An article cannot account for every device, organisation or personal situation.
Tool limitations
A password-strength estimate is a heuristic, not a guarantee that an account is secure. Email headers can be forged; an authentication result is meaningful only in the context of a trusted receiving mail server. A hash match shows that data agrees with the supplied reference, not that the reference or file is safe. Unit converters depend on the stated units and assumptions; months and years are not fixed durations in calendar use.
Never paste live passwords, private keys or other secrets into an online tool. Medical, financial and legal decisions require appropriately qualified advice; a general article or converter does not provide that advice.
