How long and complex should it be?

• 16 characters or more. Length is the single biggest factor in how hard a password is to crack.
• Mix character types when the site allows it, but do not sacrifice length to fit a short symbol-heavy pattern.
• One password, one account. Generate a fresh password for every login so a single breach cannot cascade.
