We are always looking for new writers. Security Briefing accepts guest posts about cybersecurity, data privacy, online threats, networks, AI and technology.
Guest post opportunities on Security Briefing
Would you like to contribute to our publication? If you have hands-on experience, knowledge or an interesting perspective on cybersecurity, privacy or the technology people rely on every day, we would love to hear your ideas.
We accept articles from freelance writers, bloggers and security professionals, as well as from SEO writers, content writers and agencies writing on behalf of clients. Whether it is a practical guide, an in-depth analysis or lessons learned from your own work, send us your article.
What can you write about?
We are interested in articles about:
Cybersecurity and threats
Attack techniques, defence strategies, incident response, vulnerabilities and threat analysis.
Data privacy
Data protection, privacy laws, tracking, anonymity online and how personal data is used.
Malware, phishing and scams
How they work, how to recognise them and how people and companies can protect themselves.
Networks, VPN and Wi-Fi
Router security, VPNs, DNS, home and business network hardening.
AI and technology
AI security, software, tools, devices and the risks that come with new technology.
Crypto and blockchain
Wallet security, exchange safety, crypto scams and how blockchain technology works.
Please look through our latest articles before you send yours. We especially value posts that answer readers’ questions, explain a topic clearly or add something new to subjects we already cover, for example our sections on cybersecurity, data privacy and malware.
If you have another relevant topic in mind, you are welcome to suggest it.
Guest post guidelines
To make it easier for us to review your submission, please follow these guidelines:
Relevant to our niche
The content must be relevant to our topics and to our readers’ interests.
Informative, with real value
The article must be informative and genuinely useful to readers.
Original content
Send your own work that has not been published anywhere else.
Reliable sources
Back up statistics, research findings and factual claims with relevant sources, such as vendor reports, CVE records or official advisories.
Minimum length
Articles should be at least 800 words. In-depth guides usually work best at 1,200+ words.
Clear language
Use a logical structure, descriptive headings and short paragraphs.
Image rights
If you include images, you must have permission to use them and state any required credit.
Important note on gambling: Articles with gambling-related content or links are welcome, but the title must not contain gambling words (for example casino, betting, odds or slots), and gambling must not be the main focus of the article.
All submissions are reviewed before publication. We may suggest changes or edit accepted articles for clarity, accuracy and readability. Sending an article is no guarantee of publication. We typically reply within 5 business days.
Links and placement
All accepted articles are published under these link terms:
Dofollow links
Links in the article are dofollow backlinks.
No sponsored tag
The article and its links are not marked as sponsored.
Permanent placement
The article stays on Security Briefing permanently.
1 client link
One link to your client, placed naturally in the text and not in a promotional way.
2 authority links
Two links to authoritative sources, or one internal link to Security Briefing and one authority link.
If you represent a company, an agency or a client as part of your link building, please say so in your email. We will get back to you with the details and conditions that apply to your post.
What we do not publish
- Content written to place a link rather than to be read.
- Texts that have been published elsewhere, in whole or in part.
- Claims about products, vulnerabilities, statistics or results that cannot be documented.
- Instructions meant to help someone attack systems, spread malware or commit fraud.
- Texts that promise financial gain, or gambling content aimed at people under 18.
- Purely AI-generated text that has not been fact-checked by a human.
Editorial control and unpublishing
Publication is not guaranteed. Receiving a pitch or a finished article implies no promise to publish it. Our editors assess every submission and every link individually, in line with our editorial standards. We may unpublish or correct material afterwards if a piece of information turns out to be wrong, misleading or in conflict with these guidelines or applicable law.
Commercial contributions
If a contribution is sponsored, commissioned by a third party or otherwise compensated, whether in money, goods or services, this must be stated in your pitch. Such material is only published if it is genuinely relevant to our readers, and on the terms we agree in writing. Undeclared commercial content is not published, and if it is discovered later, it is removed.
Rights
You keep the copyright to your text. By submitting it, you grant Security Briefing a non-exclusive, perpetual right to publish the article on securitybriefing.net, to edit it for language and structure, and to use excerpts in our own channels. You confirm that you hold the rights to the text and any images, and that the content does not infringe the rights of third parties. If you later want to publish the text somewhere else, contact us and we will find a solution.
Liability
Articles express the author’s own views and do not constitute professional security, legal or financial advice. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the content. Security Briefing accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of guest posts.
Personal data
The information you send us (name, email and optional biography) is handled in accordance with our privacy policy and is only used to manage your contribution.
