Security Patrol Companies
Security patrol companies send a vehicle or officer to your site on a schedule or after an alarm, instead of posting someone there. It usually fits sites that don't need someone all the time.
Patrol or something else?
| Option | How it works | Suited to | Key limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile patrol | Officer drives a route covering several clients | Parking lots, HOAs, closed sites | Between visits, nobody is there |
| Scheduled visits | Agreed times at your site | Lockups and door checks | Predictable if times never vary |
| Alarm response | Officer is sent after an alarm | Sites with monitored alarms | Doesn't prevent; responds. Check local rules. |
| Dedicated guard | Officer stays on post | Busy or high-risk sites | Highest ongoing staffing commitment |
What to ask about coverage
- Visit records: Are visits GPS or scan-verified, and can we see them?
- Coverage area: Is our address inside the patrol zone in writing?
- Dispatch: Who answers at night, and do you have your own dispatch?
- Response commitments: Is there a contract target, and what if it's missed?
- Incident reporting: Do we get reports for every visit, or only incidents?
